As a product designer at Sony, I worked on VAIO Tabletop, a personal media browser preloaded on the VAIO Tap 21, a 21-inch all-in-one tabletop PC. The app enabled users to import, browse, sort, and share media content through a gesture-rich, multitouch interface supporting real-time, 360-degree multiuser interactions. The problem addressed was the need for a collaborative, intuitive experience when using the device in a horizontal orientation, promoting seamless sharing and engagement among multiple users in real time. I conducted competitive research, storyboarded scenarios, and designed app wireframes and icons using the Windows Metro guidelines. Additionally, I designed multitouch gestures and developed a working prototype in Unity to demonstrate delightful 2D physics interactions and was awarded a patent for the novel user interface and interaction design.
